Cities, like people, have a destiny: they become famous or live unnoticed, soar on the crest of fortune or achieve prosperity through patient everyday work. Fortune did not stand at the cradle of Poltava – it created itself, going from a small settlement to the regional center of a prosperous region, one of the pearl regions in the crown of Ukraine.

On the solid foundation of the past, we are creating today’s Poltava – a beautiful, enlightened, friendly city, open to communication and cooperation with all cities on the planet. The glory of the city is increased by world-famous scientists, writers, artists and cultural figures – its natives and students of its universities. But the greatest contribution to the well-being of Poltava is made by people who, day after day, patiently and quietly fulfill the duties of a city dweller – they work at machines, build the city, feed, warm and cherish, decorate for the holiday and do not neglect to care on weekdays. Each of you has something to be proud of. It is your work, your love for the city that makes it so beautiful, cozy and modern.

We are confident that all subsequent changes that will take place in our city will only be for the better for the people living on this land and will become a reason to be proud of themselves and their fellow countrymen.
